Cirrus Wins Contract To Develop
RAAF Prototype Simulation Trainer

Cirrus Managing Director Mr Peter Freed has announced that Cirrus has been selected, along with other Rapid Prototyping, Development and Evaluation (RPDE) program participants, to contribute to the development of a prototype system for Air Combat Officer sensor and network centric awareness training.  Cirrus has been awarded an RPDE contract to develop the prototype simulation software. 

Mr Freed stated that "we are very pleased to have been selected for this contract, which has been the subject of a competitive selection process”.   Mr Freed further stated that “the awarding of the contract to Cirrus recognises our capabilities in sensor simulation systems and draws on the value resident within the indigenous high technology SME sector.”    

RPDE is a defence-industry collaboration that rapidly addresses network centric warfare issues.  RPDE is managing the development of the prototype software, associated activities, and the prototypes’ evaluation by the School of Air Warfare at RAAF East Sale in Victoria.
