Cirrus Presents Leading Simulation Technology
to Simtect 2011
SHARE
The key technologies enabling the rapid development of complex sensor simulation training systems have been presented to the simulation industry in a paper presented at Simtect 2011 by Cirrus’ Managing Director, Mr. Peter Freed.
In the paper Mr. Freed noted that the natural economic advantages of using simulation based training often go unexploited due to a misplaced perception that development of such systems is risky.
A case study involving the recent rapid development by Cirrus of the Air Combat Officer Training System (ACO-TS) for the RAAF School of Air Warfare (SAW, East Sale) was presented which identified the reality of a low risk development pathway. The key factor to this low risk approach was identified as the utilisation of Cirrus’ foundation technologies for simulation; the Simulation Training Network (STN) and Sensor Simulation Engine (SSE).
