Cirrus Managing Director Mr Peter Freed has today announced that Cirrus has been awarded a contract to participate in the Advanced Processor Build (APB) process associated with the AN/BYG1 Combat Control System.
"We are very pleased to have been awarded this contract which relates to technologies in underwater localisation," Mr Freed stated. The APB process is used to identify hardware independent software functions that create or improve functionality for transition to naval combat systems programs.
Australia and the United States of America are parties to an Armaments Cooperative Program (ACP) to jointly develop the AN/BYG-1 Combat Control System.
